Diablo IV was released in 2023.
Blizzard Entertainment launched Diablo IV on June 5, 2023, for Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Players who purchased certain editions received early access beginning on June 1, 2023.
The game is the fourth main entry in the Diablo series and follows Diablo III. Its story takes place in Sanctuary, the dark fantasy world created by the conflict between the High Heavens and the Burning Hells. The campaign centers on Lilith, the daughter of Mephisto, whose return threatens the balance of the world.
A common mix-up is confusing Diablo IV's 2023 launch with its 2022 announcement at BlizzConline. The announcement revealed the game, but it was not released until the following year. The expansion Vessel of Hatred arrived later, in October 2024.
