In what year did Vogue Taiwan first appear?

The story behind the answer

Vogue Taiwan first appeared in 1996.

The Taiwanese edition expanded Vogue’s presence in East Asia during the 1990s, a decade when the brand added several important Asian editions. It provided local readers with fashion journalism connected to the international Vogue network.

Vogue Taiwan is sometimes confused with Vogue China or Vogue Korea because all three are Asian editions of the same brand. Their launch dates, editorial teams, and national markets are separate, however. Vogue China began later, in 2005, while Vogue Korea also began in 1996.

The edition has covered Taiwanese and international designers, models, photographers, and cultural figures. Its existence reflects Taiwan’s established publishing market and its role in the region’s fashion and creative industries.
