Vogue Korea launched in 1996 as the Korean edition of Vogue magazine.
The edition brought Vogue’s international fashion format to South Korea, pairing global fashion coverage with Korean models, designers, photographers, and cultural subjects. Its launch was part of Vogue’s broader expansion across Asia during the 1990s.
Vogue Korea is distinct from Vogue Japan, which began in 1999, and Vogue Taiwan, which began in 1996. Those are separate national editions, even though all operate within the wider Vogue brand.
The Korean edition is published in Seoul and has helped introduce Korean fashion and entertainment figures to Vogue’s audience. It is also often referred to in English as Vogue Korea, while its Korean-language title is 보그 코리아.
