In what year did Tiger Woods complete the Tiger Slam?

The story behind the answer

Tiger Woods completed the Tiger Slam in 2001 by winning the Masters Tournament.

The Tiger Slam was not a traditional calendar-year Grand Slam. Woods won the 2000 U.S. Open, the 2000 Open Championship and the 2000 PGA Championship, then captured the 2001 Masters. Those four consecutive major victories gave him all four major titles at the same time, even though they crossed two seasons.

Woods completed the feat on April 8, 2001, at Augusta National. He finished two strokes ahead of David Duval with a score of 272, or 16 under par. It was Woods's second Masters victory and his sixth major championship. He was 25 years old when he completed the sequence.

The achievement is often confused with a calendar-year Grand Slam, which would require winning all four majors in one season. Woods did not do that; instead, his run stretched from the 2000 U.S. Open through the 2001 Masters. He remains the only golfer to win all four modern men's professional majors consecutively.
