In Twin Peaks, which actor played casino owner Dick Tremayne?

Ian Buchanan played casino owner Dick Tremayne in Twin Peaks.

Dick Tremayne is introduced as a flamboyant department-store manager and Ben Horne’s associate. He becomes involved in the life of Lucy Moran, who works at the Twin Peaks sheriff’s station, and later participates in the town’s unusual child-care storyline involving Little Nicky.

The character is easy to confuse with Ben Horne’s other business associates or with Jean Renault, another casino-linked figure in the series. Buchanan’s performance gives Dick an exaggerated, theatrical personality that contrasts with the more restrained characters around him. Buchanan also appeared in other television productions, but his Twin Peaks role is specifically Dick Tremayne, not a member of the FBI investigative team.
