In the TV series Pandora, Priscilla Quintana plays the main character Jax.
Pandora is a science-fiction television series that premiered in 2019. Quintana plays Jacqueline “Jax” Zhou, a young woman who becomes involved with the EarthCom Academy and discovers that she possesses abilities connected to a mysterious alien identity. The series combines space-opera elements, romance, and questions about identity.
The show’s title is separate from the Greek myth and from James Cameron’s Avatar. Its use of “Pandora” refers to the science-fiction setting and the character’s storyline rather than to Hesiod’s jar. This distinction matters because several films, games, and television programs use the same mythological name.
The series was created by Mark A. Altman and Steve Kriozere. It aired on The CW, making Jax the central lead among its ensemble of young spacefaring characters.
