In the standard Monopoly board game, which property is immediately before Go to Jail?

The story behind the answer

In the standard Monopoly board game, Marvin Gardens is immediately before Go to Jail. It is the final yellow property in the clockwise sequence leading toward that corner space.

Marvin Gardens is one of three yellow properties, together with Atlantic Avenue and Ventnor Avenue. The name is a historical alteration: the real place is Marven Gardens, a neighborhood spanning parts of Margate City and Longport, New Jersey. Parker Brothers used the misspelled “Marvin” form on the Monopoly board.

After Marvin Gardens comes Go to Jail, followed by Pacific Avenue, North Carolina Avenue, and Community Chest on the next side. The property’s location is strategically notable because players can land there from several movement patterns, including certain Chance-card instructions.
