In the Pandora myth, Aphrodite gave Pandora charm.
Hesiod describes Pandora as receiving gifts from several gods before she was sent to humanity. Aphrodite contributed grace and desirability, helping make Pandora attractive. Her creation was presented as a coordinated divine project, with different gods supplying qualities, skills, or deceptive attributes.
The myth’s emphasis is not that Pandora was independently evil from birth. Instead, Zeus arranged her creation as a punishment connected with Prometheus’s theft of fire. Her beauty and gifts made her appear desirable, while the divine plan concealed the danger associated with her arrival.
Later summaries sometimes assign every positive quality to Athena or describe Pandora as receiving “all gifts” from one god. The name Pandora is usually explained as “all-gifted,” but Hesiod’s narrative distributes her attributes among multiple deities.
