In the original Diablo, which class is associated with bows and ranged combat?

The story behind the answer

In the original Diablo, the Rogue is associated with bows and ranged combat.

The Rogue is one of the three playable classes in the first Diablo, alongside the Warrior and Sorcerer. Her class design emphasizes agility, accuracy, and attacks made from a distance, especially with bows. This gives her a different combat rhythm from the Warrior’s melee focus and the Sorcerer’s spellcasting.

The class is sometimes confused with the Amazon from Diablo II. Both are strongly associated with ranged weapons, but the Amazon was introduced in the sequel and is not one of the original Diablo’s three classes.

The original game takes place mainly beneath the town of Tristram. Players descend through dungeon levels while developing one of the three classes, collecting equipment, and confronting increasingly dangerous monsters before facing Diablo.
