In the original 2007 Assassin’s Creed, which Assassin is controlled by the player?
Answer
Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad
Answer
Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad
The original Assassin’s Creed is controlled by Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad.
Altaïr is a Syrian Assassin operating during the Third Crusade, chiefly in cities including Masyaf, Jerusalem, Acre, and Damascus. The game follows his fall from grace after a failed mission and his gradual restoration of rank under the guidance of Al Mualim.
Altaïr is sometimes confused with Ezio Auditore, the Italian protagonist of the next major trilogy. He also appears in later series lore, especially through memories, writings, and references to his innovations within the Assassin Brotherhood.
The 2007 game established the series’ recurring structure: historical targets, investigations, stealth-based assassinations, freerunning, and a modern-day storyline involving Desmond Miles and the Animus.
