In the manga Pandora Hearts, the protagonist Oz’s full name is Oz Vessalius.

Pandora Hearts is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Jun Mochizuki. Its story begins with Oz Vessalius, heir to a powerful noble family, being condemned to the Abyss during his coming-of-age ceremony.

Oz later forms a contract with Alice, a mysterious entity known as the B-Rabbit, and investigates the secrets surrounding the Abyss, the Tragedy of Sablier, and his own family. Gilbert Nightray and Xerxes Break are major characters, but neither is the series protagonist.

The series ran in Square Enix’s Monthly GFantasy magazine from 2006 to 2015. Its title references Pandora but uses a separate fantasy setting and mythology rather than retelling the ancient Greek story directly.
