In “The Limo,” whose limousine do Jerry and George accidentally take? They take a limousine reserved for O’Brien.
After George’s car breaks down at the airport, he and Jerry notice a chauffeur waiting for a passenger named O’Brien. George pretends to be that passenger, allowing the pair to enter the limousine and claim the ride as their own. They soon discover that the car is heading to Madison Square Garden with tickets for a Knicks–Bulls game.
The apparent windfall becomes dangerous when the real purpose of the trip emerges. The limousine is carrying followers of Donald O’Brien, a neo-Nazi leader who plans to speak publicly. Jerry and George have unknowingly stolen the ride intended for O’Brien and are trapped among armed extremists and Holocaust deniers.
The episode first aired on February 26, 1992, as the 19th episode of season three. “The Limo” is remembered for turning a simple case of mistaken identity into one of Seinfeld’s darkest comic plots, while Kramer’s confusion makes him suspect Jerry may secretly be a neo-Nazi leader.
