In the classic Monopoly board game, Boardwalk's rent with no houses is $50.
Boardwalk is the second property in the dark-blue group, paired with Park Place. Its undeveloped rent is printed on the title deed and is payable when another player lands on it. Boardwalk's rent increases through development, reaching $200 with one house, $600 with two, $1,400 with three, $1,700 with four, and $2,000 with a hotel.
Owning the complete dark-blue color group doubles the undeveloped rent when no property in that group has buildings. Thus, a complete group can make Boardwalk's ordinary $50 rent become $100 before construction begins.
Players often remember Boardwalk as the most expensive property and therefore assume its base rent is already enormous. Its purchase price is high, but the printed undeveloped rent is $50. The larger figures belong to its developed rents and its doubled-monopoly rent.
