In the 2026 United States Semiquincentennial coinage, the quarter has a reverse honoring the Declaration of Independence.
The 2026 circulating program includes special issues of the dime, five quarter designs, a half dollar, and a one-dollar coin. The cent and nickel carry the dual dates 1776 and 2026 but do not receive the same commemorative redesign treatment.
One of the five quarter subjects is the United States Declaration of Independence. Its design pairs Thomas Jefferson on the obverse with the Liberty Bell on the reverse, connecting the coin to the document adopted by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776.
The program was authorized by the Circulating Collectible Coin Redesign Act of 2020. It is separate from the 1975–1976 Bicentennial coinage, whose quarter, half dollar, and dollar used the dual date 1776–1976.
