In the 2026 UEFA Super Cup, who assisted Brian Madjo’s equaliser?
Answer
John McGinn
John McGinn assisted Brian Madjo’s equaliser in the 2026 UEFA Super Cup.
McGinn delivered the cross from the right that Madjo converted from close range for Aston Villa. The goal arrived in the 45th minute and made the score 1–1 before the interval.
Madjo’s finish was historically notable because it made him the youngest player ever to score in the UEFA Super Cup. Paris Saint-Germain had taken the lead through Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in the 20th minute.
McGinn captained Aston Villa during the match and was listed in a right-sided midfield role. Paris ultimately won when Désiré Doué scored again after half-time, but McGinn’s delivery produced Villa’s only goal.
