Most of the story in the 2014 adventure game Tales from the Borderlands takes place on the planet Pandora.
The game was developed by Telltale Games in collaboration with Gearbox Software and is set in the Borderlands universe. It follows Hyperion employee Rhys and con artist Fiona as they become involved in a hunt connected to a legendary Vault.
Pandora here is not the moon from James Cameron’s Avatar. It is the harsh frontier planet established by the Borderlands series, a world of bandits, corporations, alien creatures, and Vault hunters. The shared name can cause confusion because both settings use Pandora as a major fictional location.
Tales from the Borderlands uses an episodic structure and emphasizes dialogue, character choices, and cinematic storytelling. Its setting links it directly to the earlier Borderlands games.
