In the 2011 romantic comedy Crazy, Stupid, Love, which actor plays Jacob Palmer?

In Crazy, Stupid, Love, Ryan Gosling plays the character Jacob Palmer.

Jacob is a stylish bachelor who takes Cal Weaver under his wing after Cal’s marriage breaks down. He teaches Cal how to dress, socialize, and approach women, presenting himself as an expert in modern dating. Gosling’s performance balances Jacob’s confident exterior with the character’s increasing emotional vulnerability as he becomes seriously interested in Hannah.

The film was directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa and released in 2011. Steve Carell plays Cal, Julianne Moore plays Cal’s wife Emily, and Emma Stone plays Hannah. The plot eventually reveals connections among the characters that transform Jacob’s apparently separate dating life into a family-centered romantic story. Ryan Gosling is sometimes chiefly associated with dramatic or action roles, but Jacob Palmer is one of his notable romantic-comedy performances.
