In the 2011 film New Year's Eve, which director brought together its ensemble cast?

Garry Marshall directed the 2011 film New Year's Eve, which brought together an ensemble cast.

The romantic comedy follows several connected stories unfolding in New York City on New Year's Eve. Its cast includes actors such as Halle Berry, Jessica Biel, Jon Bon Jovi, Josh Duhamel, Robert De Niro, Ashton Kutcher, and Sarah Jessica Parker.

Marshall used a similar multi-story approach in Valentine’s Day, released in 2010. New Year's Eve served as a thematic follow-up, shifting the focus from February romance to resolutions, reunions, family relationships, and the pressure surrounding a single highly anticipated night.

The film was released in December 2011 and received mixed reviews. Its setting makes the holiday central to the plot rather than using New Year’s Eve merely as a background date. The title is sometimes confused with similarly named television programs and short films, but this question refers specifically to the 2011 feature film.
