In the 2009 film Avatar, what is the name of Jake Sully’s Na’vi avatar?

The story behind the answer

In the 2009 film Avatar, the Na’vi avatar operated by the character Jake Sully is also identified with Jake Sully’s name.

Jake is a former Marine who replaces his deceased twin brother, Tommy, in the Avatar Program. The program uses genetically engineered hybrid bodies that combine human DNA with Na’vi DNA. Operators control the bodies through a neural link while lying inside specialized equipment.

Jake’s avatar allows him to move through Pandora and communicate with the Na’vi. He meets Neytiri, learns the Omaticaya way of life, and gradually rejects the RDA’s plan to remove the clan from its home. Sam Worthington portrays Jake in both his human and avatar roles.

Tommy Sully is Jake’s deceased identical twin, not the name of Jake’s avatar. Miles Quaritch and Norm Spellman are separate characters in the film.
