In the 1989 film When Harry Met Sally..., Harry meets Sally at a New York City party on New Year's Eve.

The scene occurs near the end of the film, after Harry realizes that his friendship with Sally has become romantic love. He runs through Manhattan to reach her before midnight, then finds her at a New Year's Eve party.

The film, written by Nora Ephron and directed by Rob Reiner, follows Harry Burns and Sally Albright over many years. Billy Crystal plays Harry, while Meg Ryan plays Sally. Their relationship develops through repeated encounters, arguments, and conversations about love and friendship.

The New Year's Eve climax is often remembered for Harry's confession beginning with the words “I came here tonight,” followed by Sally's response. It is separate from the film's famous restaurant scene featuring Sally's demonstration of a convincing fake orgasm.
