Artanis leads the Protoss campaign in StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void.
Artanis is a Protoss executor who rises to become the leader of the Daelaam, the united Protoss people. In Legacy of the Void, he commands the Spear of Adun and directs the campaign to reclaim Aiur while confronting the larger threat posed by Amon.
His leadership is important because the Protoss are divided by old political and cultural differences. Artanis works with traditional Khalai Protoss, the Nerazim, and other groups, making unity a central theme of the campaign.
Artanis is sometimes confused with Tassadar, the prominent executor from the original StarCraft, or Fenix, a famous Protoss warrior. Both characters influence Protoss history, but Artanis is the principal playable leader of Legacy of the Void.
