Artanis is the Protoss leader who commands the Daelaam in StarCraft II. He is the central Protoss protagonist of Legacy of the Void and serves as Hierarch of the united Protoss faction.
The Daelaam is formed from major Protoss groups, including the Khalai and Nerazim, after long-standing divisions. Artanis works to unite these groups while leading the campaign to reclaim Aiur and resist Amon’s plans.
Tassadar was a major leader in the original StarCraft, while Zeratul was a Nerazim hero and adviser. Aldaris served the Conclave and represented traditional Khalai authority. Their roles are important, but Artanis is the leader associated with the Daelaam during StarCraft II.
