“Omega” is the concluding mission of the Brood War campaign and brings the major factions into a final confrontation on Char. The player must withstand attacks from the Terran Dominion, the United Earth Directorate, and the Protoss while controlling Kerrigan’s Zerg forces.
The mission reflects Kerrigan’s position at the end of Brood War. She has manipulated several rival powers and now faces a coalition determined to destroy her. Its large-scale battles make it one of the best-known missions in the original StarCraft campaign.
Players sometimes confuse “Omega” with earlier mission titles from the original game or with later StarCraft II campaign missions. Brood War is the 1998 expansion to StarCraft, and “Omega” specifically belongs to its final Zerg campaign chapter.
