In snooker, which colour is worth four points?
Answer
Brown
Answer
Brown
In snooker, the brown ball is worth four points.
The brown is one of the six colours used in a frame, with the others valued at two, three, five, six and seven points. Its four-point value places it between the green and blue in the scoring scale.
The brown occupies the centre position on the baulk line. Viewed from the baulk end, the yellow is on one side of the brown and the green is on the other. These three balls form the familiar baulk-line arrangement near the end of the table.
After the reds have all been potted, players must attempt the colours in order from yellow through black. Because brown is fourth in that sequence, it is played after the yellow and green and before the blue.
