In season 9 of "The Office," Todd Packer drugs most of the staff using tainted cupcakes.
The prank occurs in "The Farm," the season's 17th episode. Packer returns to the Scranton branch claiming that he has changed and wants to make amends for years of offensive behavior. He brings store-bought cupcakes as a peace offering, but Pam distrusts him and refuses to eat hers.
After most employees accept the cupcakes, Packer leaves and tells the documentary crew that he laced them with drugs as revenge for being fired. The episode never identifies every substance precisely, describing them as a mixture of legal and illegal drugs. The effects include confusion, nausea, slurred speech, and other disturbing reactions.
A common mix-up is recalling the food as donuts or simply "dessert." The staff members were drugged through cupcakes, and Packer later tries the same scheme on Jim and Darryl at Athlead.
