In "Pokemon Sun and Moon", who is the Alola region's Pokemon professor?
Answer
Professor Kukui
Answer
Professor Kukui
In Pokémon Sun and Moon, Professor Kukui is the Alola region’s Pokémon professor. He lives near the player’s home on Melemele Island and helps introduce the player to Alola’s island challenge, Pokémon research, and the region’s distinctive culture.
Kukui’s specialty is Pokémon moves. His research is unusually hands-on: he is known for observing moves at close range and even taking hits when doing so could improve his understanding. He assists the player throughout the story and works with Lillie, who becomes his research assistant.
Kukui also has a secret identity. At the Battle Royal Dome, he competes as the Masked Royal, a popular professional wrestler and powerful Pokémon trainer. This dual role is one of the character’s most memorable features and makes him more than a conventional laboratory-based professor.
He is also important to Alola’s history because he establishes the region’s first Pokémon League. In the original Sun and Moon games, Kukui serves as the final challenger before the player becomes Alola’s first Champion. His wife, Professor Burnet, is another Pokémon researcher who appears in the wider Alola storyline.
