In Pixar’s Cars, Ramone is Radiator Springs’ lowrider-style custom paint specialist.
Ramone owns Ramone’s House of Body Art, where he paints and customizes vehicles. His designs change throughout the film, giving him a different paint job on different days. The character’s lowrider styling, hydraulic movements, and elaborate colors make him one of Radiator Springs’ most visually distinctive residents.
Ramone is married to Flo, who owns Flo’s V8 Café. Together they represent two of the town’s central businesses and help establish the community’s strong social connections. Ramone also participates in the town’s efforts to welcome Lightning McQueen after the racer repairs the damaged road.
Ramone is sometimes confused with Luigi or Guido because all three are connected with automotive work. Luigi runs a tire shop, Guido is his Italian assistant and pit-crew specialist, and Ramone focuses on bodywork and paint. In the English version, Ramone is voiced by Cheech Marin.
