In Pixar's Cars 3, who trains Lightning McQueen as his new racing coach?

Cruz begins as a racing trainer at the Rust-eze Racing Center, where she uses simulation technology and modern fitness methods. She is assigned to help Lightning prepare for competition against Jackson Storm, a younger and faster racer. Their relationship changes as Lightning realizes Cruz has racing ambitions of her own and encourages her to pursue them.

Cruz is voiced by Cristela Alonzo and is designed as a yellow sports coupe. She eventually takes Lightning's place in the Florida 500, defeats Storm, and becomes a successful racer. Lightning then adopts the role of mentor while Cruz carries on the racing career. Cruz is sometimes mistaken for Sally because both are important female characters, but Sally is the blue Porsche from Radiator Springs and Cruz is the yellow trainer introduced in Cars 3.
