In Pixar’s Cars 3, what is the name of Lightning McQueen’s advanced rival racer?

Jackson Storm is Lightning McQueen’s advanced rival racer in Pixar’s Cars 3.

Storm represents a new generation of race cars built with advanced technology, modern aerodynamics, and powerful performance. His rapid success makes older competitors, including Lightning, question whether experience can still overcome machine-assisted speed.

Storm’s dominance begins a major conflict in the film. Lightning attempts to return to winning form, but an early accident convinces his sponsor that he needs a different approach. The resulting training journey eventually connects Lightning with Cruz Ramirez and Doc Hudson’s legacy.

Jackson Storm should not be confused with Chick Hicks, the aggressive rival from the first Cars, or Francesco Bernoulli, the Italian competitor from Cars 2. Storm is voiced by Armie Hammer in the English-language film.
