In Monopoly, what is the name of the card deck that includes the instruction “Advance to Boardwalk”?

The story behind the answer

In Monopoly, “Advance to Boardwalk” is a Chance card.

Chance is one of the two action-card decks on the classic board. When a player lands on a Chance space, they draw the top Chance card, follow its instruction, and usually return it to the bottom of the deck unless the card says otherwise. The Boardwalk instruction moves the player directly to the board’s most expensive street.

The other traditional deck is Community Chest. Its cards include financial rewards, payments, and movement instructions, but “Advance to Boardwalk” belongs specifically to Chance. The decks are marked by separate names and colors on the board and cards.

Chance cards can move players forward or backward, require payments, send them to Jail, or award money. Their randomness is one of the game’s main mechanisms for changing a player’s position beyond ordinary dice movement.
