In Kung Fu Panda 4, the fox thief who becomes Po’s ally is named Zhen.
Zhen is a corsac fox and a skilled thief living in Juniper City. Po initially encounters her as a criminal and takes her into custody, but their relationship changes when they discover that their goals overlap. She becomes an important companion as Po investigates the Chameleon and the city’s criminal underworld.
Zhen is voiced in English by Awkwafina. Her quick movements, sarcasm, and practical knowledge of Juniper City give the film a different partner dynamic from Po’s earlier relationships with the Furious Five and Master Shifu.
Zhen is not one of the Furious Five, and she is not a rabbit or a red panda. Mei Mei is a panda character from Kung Fu Panda 3, while Viper and Tigress are members of the original kung fu team. Zhen’s introduction expands the series’ roster of animal heroes.
