In James Cameron’s Avatar, the Omaticaya are the Na’vi clan living in Pandora’s rainforest.
The Omaticaya inhabit Pandora’s forest region, where their home includes the enormous Hometree. The clan becomes central to the film’s story after Jake Sully enters their community through the avatar program and is gradually accepted by its members.
The Omaticaya are led by Eytukan at the beginning of the film, while Neytiri is his daughter and the clan’s skilled hunter. Their spiritual and social life is closely connected with Eywa, the living network that links Pandora’s organisms.
The Omaticaya are distinct from the Metkayina, a reef-dwelling clan introduced in Avatar: The Way of Water. The Olangi are another clan seen in the first film, associated with Pandora’s plains rather than the rainforest.
