In House M.D., who becomes Dean of Medicine after Lisa Cuddy leaves Princeton-Plainsboro?

The story behind the answer

In House M.D., Eric Foreman becomes Dean of Medicine after Lisa Cuddy leaves Princeton-Plainsboro.

Foreman begins the series as one of House’s original diagnostic fellows and later develops into a senior hospital administrator. His promotion reflects his medical ability, leadership skills, and increasing willingness to make decisions independently of House.

Lisa Cuddy serves as Dean of Medicine for much of the series. After she departs Princeton-Plainsboro, Foreman takes over the position and becomes House’s supervisor, creating a role reversal between the former trainee and his difficult mentor.

Omar Epps portrays Foreman. The character’s career path is distinct from that of Robert Chase and Chris Taub, who remain physicians but do not take over the dean’s position in the same way.
