In House, M.D., which actor portrays neurologist Eric Foreman?
Answer
Omar Epps
Answer
Omar Epps
Omar Epps portrays neurologist Eric Foreman in House, M.D.
Foreman is one of House’s original diagnostic fellows and a neurologist whose clinical judgment often clashes with House’s methods. He is ambitious, competitive, and more cautious about rules than his supervisor. Over time, Foreman moves through several leadership and administrative roles at Princeton-Plainsboro.
Epps was part of the principal cast from the series premiere in 2004 through the finale in 2012. His performance helped give the diagnostic team an internal counterweight to House: Foreman can recognize House’s brilliance while remaining concerned about ethics, authority, and professional consequences.
Omar Epps had already appeared in films and television before House, including the medical drama ER. In House, M.D., he is sometimes confused with Peter Jacobson, who played Chris Taub, or Jesse Spencer, who played Robert Chase. Those actors were also long-running members of House’s medical team.
