In House, M.D., Omar Epps plays Dr. Eric Foreman, the neurologist on House’s original diagnostic team.
Foreman is one of the three fellows introduced alongside Allison Cameron and Robert Chase. He is intellectually confident, medically ambitious, and often uncomfortable with House’s willingness to disregard rules. His neurological expertise contributes to cases involving the brain, nerves, behavior, and movement.
Foreman’s relationship with House shifts over time. He learns from House’s diagnostic methods but also resists becoming like him. Later in the series, Foreman takes on greater administrative and supervisory responsibilities, eventually becoming a leader at Princeton-Plainsboro.
Omar Epps had already appeared in films and television before joining House. The role made him widely recognizable to international television audiences and remained one of his best-known performances.
