Peter Jacobson played Dr. Chris Taub in House M.D.
Taub joins House’s reconstituted diagnostic team in the fourth season after House auditions a large group of candidates. He is a plastic surgeon with experience in reconstructive and cosmetic procedures, and his practical knowledge becomes valuable during complicated cases.
Taub is distinguished by his guarded personality and complicated personal life. Before joining the team, he left a surgical partnership after an affair with a colleague, and the consequences of that history continue to affect his relationships. The series often contrasts his professional confidence with his personal insecurity.
Peter Jacobson played Taub throughout the later seasons. Taub’s fellow members of the revised team included Lawrence Kutner and Remy Hadley, known as Thirteen. These surnames are sometimes confused because the physicians were introduced during the same period, but Taub is the character associated with Jacobson.
