In House M.D., Stacy Warner is Dr. House’s former colleague and ex-girlfriend. Sela Ward played Stacy, who returns to House’s life during the first season after their relationship ended.
Stacy is an attorney specializing in medical law and becomes involved in a case concerning her husband, Mark Warner. Her return forces House to confront their painful history. Before the series begins, House suffered a serious infarction in his leg, and Stacy made a difficult medical decision during his treatment; the aftermath contributed to the end of their relationship.
Stacy is not the same character as Lisa Cuddy, who is House’s hospital administrator and later romantic partner. She is also distinct from Amber Volakis, a later fellow and Wilson’s partner. Stacy’s motorcycle-riding image and legal career make her a particularly recognizable figure among House’s earlier relationships.
