Answer
Eight seasons
Answer
Eight seasons
House, M.D. ran for eight seasons.
The medical drama premiered on Fox in 2004 and concluded in 2012. Across those eight seasons, it followed Gregory House and changing teams of doctors as they investigated rare or puzzling medical cases at the fictional Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital.
The series underwent several cast and story changes during its run. House’s original fellows gradually moved into other roles, and later seasons introduced new doctors, new team structures, and major personal developments. Even with those changes, the central format remained the combination of differential diagnosis, hospital politics, and House’s difficult personality.
The final season leads to the series finale, “Everybody Dies.” The episode resolves House’s apparent death through a deception designed to let him escape prison and spend time with Wilson, who has terminal cancer. The eight-season total refers to the original television run, not a later revival, because no revival has been produced.
