In Greek mythology, whom did Pandora marry after Epimetheus accepted her from the gods?

The story behind the answer

In Greek mythology, Pandora married Epimetheus after he accepted her from the gods.

Epimetheus was the Titan associated with hindsight and the brother of Prometheus. Zeus sent Pandora to him as part of the punishment imposed on humanity after Prometheus stole fire for mortals. Prometheus had warned Epimetheus not to accept gifts from Zeus, but Epimetheus ignored the warning.

The marriage connects Pandora’s story with the older myth of Prometheus. Pandora’s arrival is followed by the opening of her container, releasing evils into the world. Some later retellings call the container a box, although Hesiod described it as a large storage jar, or pithos.

Epimetheus is sometimes confused with Prometheus because both are central Titans in the same cycle of myths. Their names also form a deliberate contrast: Prometheus is commonly interpreted as “forethought,” while Epimetheus means “afterthought” or hindsight.
