In Greek mythology, which god is said to have shaped Pandora from earth?

In Greek mythology, Hephaestus is said to have shaped Pandora from earth.

Hephaestus is the Olympian god of fire, metalworking, smithing, and craftsmanship. His skill makes him the natural divine artisan for the task, and Hesiod describes Pandora as being fashioned from earth under Zeus’s instructions. Other gods then contribute gifts or qualities to complete her presentation.

This episode connects two different fire associations in Greek myth. Prometheus gives stolen fire to humanity, while Hephaestus represents the controlled craft and forge fire of the gods. Pandora is therefore not simply created by one deity in every version; Zeus orders the plan, Hephaestus shapes her, and other gods participate in equipping her.
