In Greek mythology, Aphrodite gave Pandora her beauty before she reached Epimetheus.
Hesiod presents Pandora as a divinely assembled figure whose qualities came from several gods. Aphrodite, goddess of love and beauty, bestowed physical attractiveness. This gift helped make Pandora appealing to Epimetheus and supported Zeus’s plan to send her among humans.
Aphrodite’s role is only one part of the creation story. Hephaestus shaped Pandora from earth, Athena taught her crafts and dressed her, and Hermes supplied a deceptive character or manner. The myth therefore links Pandora’s appearance, skills, and personality to separate divine contributions. Modern summaries may say that “the gods” gave Pandora her gifts without identifying which deity supplied beauty, but Hesiod’s allocation makes Aphrodite the specific answer.
