In Greek mythology, what was the name of Pandora’s daughter who became the mother of Hellen?

The story behind the answer

Pyrrha was Pandora’s daughter who became the mother of Hellen in Greek mythology.

Pyrrha was the daughter of Pandora and Epimetheus and the wife of Deucalion. In the flood myth associated with Zeus’s destruction of the Bronze Age, Deucalion and Pyrrha survived by taking refuge in a chest or ark-like vessel.

After the flood, the pair received instructions from the goddess Themis about restoring the human race. They interpreted “the bones of their mother” as the stones of Earth and threw stones behind them; those cast by Pyrrha became women, while those cast by Deucalion became men.

Pyrrha and Deucalion were also credited with having a son named Hellen, the mythic ancestor of the Hellenes, or Greeks. This account links Pandora’s family directly to Greek origin traditions, but details vary among ancient authors.
