In Greek mythology, what was Pandora’s daughter named?

The story behind the answer

In Greek mythology, Pandora’s daughter was named Pyrrha. Pyrrha is traditionally the daughter of Pandora and Epimetheus, and she later becomes the wife of Deucalion, the son of Prometheus.

Pyrrha and Deucalion are the central survivors of a catastrophic flood sent by Zeus to destroy the Bronze Age or an earlier corrupt human generation, depending on the source. After the flood, they restore humanity by throwing stones behind them. The stones become people: those thrown by Deucalion become men, and those thrown by Pyrrha become women.

Pyrrha is therefore connected to both the Pandora family line and the Greek flood tradition. She should not be confused with Helen, Ariadne, or other famous mythological women whose stories involve divine ancestry or survival. Ancient genealogies vary in detail, but the standard family relationship identifies Pyrrha as Pandora’s daughter and Deucalion’s wife.
