Answer
A white bull
Answer
A white bull
In Greek mythology, Pasiphae mated with a white bull to conceive the Minotaur.
The bull was sent from the sea by Poseidon to King Minos, who was expected to sacrifice it. Minos kept the magnificent animal instead, and Poseidon caused Minos’s wife Pasiphae to develop an unnatural desire for it. Daedalus then built a wooden cow that allowed Pasiphae to approach the bull.
Their offspring was the Minotaur, a creature with a human body and a bull’s head. The myth explains the creature’s unusual parentage while also portraying Minos’s failure to honor a divine command as the cause of the disaster.
The white bull is sometimes confused with the Cretan Bull, which Heracles later captured as one of his labors. In mythic tradition, those animals are connected but serve different episodes.
