In Girl Scouts of the USA, Brownies are in which two school grades?
Answer
second and third
Answer
second and third
In Girl Scouts of the USA, Brownies are in second and third grades.
Girl Scout membership levels are organized primarily by school grade, rather than by age alone. Brownies generally cover grades 2–3, following Daisies in kindergarten and first grade and preceding Juniors in grades 4–5. Girls typically move, or “bridge,” to the next level near the end of the school year.
The grade ranges are easy to confuse because Girl Scout levels have changed over time. In 2008, the organization shifted to a more consistently grade-based structure and introduced the Ambassador level for grades 11–12. Older references may therefore list Brownies with different age or grade combinations. Brownies also have their own badges, journeys, safety award, and Bridge to Juniors award. Their traditional uniform item is brown, which helps distinguish them from blue Daisies and green Juniors.
