In Genesis's building instructions, Noah's Ark was 30 cubits high.
Genesis 6:15 lists the ark's dimensions in a single passage: 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high. The text also says the ark had lower, second, and third decks, making the height relevant to its internal arrangement.
Since the biblical cubit was an ancient unit rather than a fixed modern metre, the ark's height cannot be converted with complete certainty. Common estimates put 30 cubits at approximately 13 to 16 metres.
The three-deck description is sometimes confused with later artistic reconstructions, which add details not stated in Genesis. The biblical account specifies compartments, decks, a door in the side, and an opening near the top, but it does not provide a full architectural blueprint.
