In Europe and Australia, what title was used for Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam?
Answer
Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Bros.
Answer
Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Bros.
In Europe and Australia, Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam was released as Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Bros.
The regional subtitle distinguishes the game from the shorter North American title, Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam. It is a crossover between the Mario & Luigi and Paper Mario series, bringing a paper version of Mario into the same adventure as the regular Mario and Luigi.
AlphaDream developed the game, while Nintendo published it for the Nintendo 3DS in 2015. Its story begins when Luigi knocks over a book containing the Paper Mario world, causing the two universes to overlap and sending Paper Mario characters across the Mushroom Kingdom.
The title is easy to confuse with the Paper Mario series because Paper Mario is part of the name, but the game belongs primarily to the Mario & Luigi RPG line. Japan used a different title, Mario & Luigi RPG: Paper Mario MIX, making the European and Australian “Bros.” subtitle one of several regional naming variations.
