In Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game, the orbital training facility for child soldiers is called Battle School.
Battle School is an Earth-orbiting space station created to train gifted children for humanity's war against the Formics, the alien species often called “Buggers.” Its students are selected for intelligence, strategic ability, leadership potential, and psychological adaptability rather than ordinary military experience.
Ender Wiggin excels in the station's zero-gravity Battle Room, where children compete in team-based tactical exercises using laser-like weapons and three-dimensional movement. He is eventually given command of Dragon Army, where he develops innovative tactics and recruits students who have been overlooked by other commanders.
Battle School is distinct from Command School, which comes later and trains commanders in fleet combat near Eros. War College and Primary School are not the names of Ender's orbital facility. The school is also more than a classroom: it is a controlled experiment in leadership, rivalry, pressure, and manipulation.
