In Doctor Who's 2010 story The Pandorica Opens, who wrote the episode?
Answer
Steven Moffat
Answer
Steven Moffat
Steven Moffat wrote Doctor Who's 2010 story The Pandorica Opens.
The episode is the first part of a two-part series-five finale and was broadcast in June 2010. Moffat was Doctor Who's lead writer and showrunner during this period, and the story builds a major mystery around the Pandorica, a legendary prison said to contain the most dangerous being in the universe.
Matt Smith plays the Eleventh Doctor, with Karen Gillan as Amy Pond and Arthur Darvill as Rory Williams. The episode ends on a major cliffhanger that continues in The Big Bang.
Russell T Davies was the preceding revival-era showrunner, while Chris Chibnall later held that role. Mark Gatiss wrote other Doctor Who episodes, but he did not write The Pandorica Opens. The title deliberately echoes Pandora's Box without being an adaptation of the Greek myth.
