In Diablo IV, what is the name of the first season?

The first Diablo IV season was called Season of the Malignant.

Blizzard launched Season of the Malignant in July 2023, shortly after Diablo IV’s June 2023 release. Its seasonal story introduced Malignant Monsters and Malignant Hearts, which could be placed into certain jewelry to provide special powers.

The season also added Cormond, a former priest who helps the player investigate the corruption spreading through Sanctuary. A seasonal character began the seasonal journey separately from the player’s Eternal Realm characters, reflecting Diablo’s recurring seasonal model.
